Lance's work on metal represents a new dimension in artistic expression. Part sculpture part painting this new technique allows the artist to use light as an actual element in his painting. LUMIFLo™ or "flowing light" is the process used to create this incredible visual effect. By working the metal with specially designed tools then using a layering technique similar to glazing Lance is able to create rays of flowing light, some appearing to recede as others appear to float free from the surface. As the rays of light move with the viewer the images remain in place creating a true three dimensional effect. Because it is a true three dimensional effect it can only be viewed on the original or special prints made by the artist.
